Motion to create the "Emeritus Committee"

�� Attention Board Members! ��

Issue:

There are several former section Board of Directors members who have contributed and continue to contribute to our Academy but have "timed out" of their section Board positions. We need to have a solution that allows these valued members to retain their seat on the IAOMC Board of Directors for as long as they wish to participate.

Solution:

Create an "Emeritus Committee. There would be no need to modify our Bylaws as the members of this committee would be nonvoting.

At our last meeting in 2023, we approved a motion to have Cary Herzberg as an honorary member of the Board, in order to continue to have him with us. My intent is to officially have a group of Emeritus members in our IAOMC Board.

This year, we have 2 more senior members which are out of the Board for the same reason as Cary, they passed their term. These two members have served the American and the International Academies since their foundations. I would like and ask you to include Drs Caroline Guerrero Cauchi and Sami El Hage in this Emeritus group.

Motion : To create a nonvoting "Emeritus" committee of the Board of Directors of the IAOMC. This Emeritus committee will include Drs:

Cary Herzberg

Caroline Guerrero Cauchi

Sami El Hage

I make this motion. Will someone second the motion. Then we can open discussion.

In five days we will close the discussion and be asked to vote.
